Mayor Chan speaks of priorities at 

provincial development council 1st conference

 

Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. convenes the Provincial Development Council for its first marathon meeting and strategic planning conference under his administration. It was held the whole of Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Hotel Consuelo Resort and Chinese Restaurant in Lingayen, with the province’s 44 town mayors and 4 city mayors in almost 100% attendance. Also present were Vice Governor Marlyn Primicias-Agabas, and a number of the Provincial Board Members.   

 

The meeting had four objectives: to set a common direction in the development of Pangasinan; to orient the participants as members of the council on the present situation of the province and the thrust of the present administration vis-à-vis priority programs and projects; to familiarize each member on the major development plans of all towns and cities so as to be able to integrate said plans to the provincial development priorities and; to formulate a Joint Action Agenda to serve as guide in the realization of the vision of the province.

 

The mayors were given the opportunity to inform the governor and the council of their municipal development plans backed-up by their own 5-minute Power Point slideshow. Facilitator was Provincial Administrator Rafael Baraan who also provided a comprehensive situationer of the province and its development thrust.
